Stageworks Performing Arts School

Welcome to StageWorks Performing Arts School

We are one of the leading Performing Arts Schools for children aged 3 - 16 years. We are not a franchise.

We believe the Performing Arts is a positive and creative environment that gives children of all ages confidence, self belief and determination. In the early 'informative' years (3/4- 8) creativity helps develop the skills necessary for so much of their life. We offer regular assessments for all or our students and do this to encourage development in all aspects of the Performing Arts. The students perform in regular presentations and in our Summer and Christmas Shows at local theatres and by the river for our outdoor productions, and in some areas we perform in festivals/carnivals/competitions.

We offer LAMDA classes for our budding actors to progress with examinations and gain UCAs points. Our LAMDA classes are run in Henley on Thames - we are very proud of our high standards and pass marks.

Our Dance HUB will be re-opening in 2022/23. If you have budding dancers keen to join us please email enquiries@stageworks.org.uk, our dance classes are free style dance sessions which the students absolutely love.

SHOW UPDATE 2022:

Our Summer Show 'Schools Out' written by Nicky Jaggar was performed at The Eyot Centre, Henley on Friday 20th and Saturday 21st May 2022, the show was a great success, we were very proud of everyone who took part.

NEXT SHOW 2022 - we are proud to announce our Winter Show, Matilda JR. It has now been cast.Matilda Jr will be directed by Lloyd White, Choreographed by Nicky Jaggar with Musical Direction by Caroline Webb. Venue: The Kenton Theatre. Dates: wk commencing 21st November 2022. Two teams performing. For tickets please visit the Kenton Theatre website and tell your friends - the students work so hard and would love an audience!

We train all of our students in all aspects of the performing arts, and ensure they have plenty of fun in their classes. Classes are structured allowing children to explore their personalities. We work closely with our local communities and enjoy all of the relationships we have built since we opened in Henley, 2000. Most of our students who have left to explore other areas of the performing arts are still in contact, still help out and we still have valued relationships with them all, especially those that have continued to work for us.

StageWorks really is a 'family' run school. We have lots of opportunities within StageWorks for students to become Team Leaders, Student teachers and Junior Teachersand also into Senior and Management roles.

Safe guarding guidelines and student support network (2022). We understand the importance of maintaining sensible guidelines when managing young peoples development. Personally, I work closely with Jasmine, our trainee educational mental practitioner. Jasmine is trained to identify signs of abuse, neglect, suicidal and self harm ideation/action, she is also trained to report and signpost to other services. For more details on our procedures please email here.

Thank you for visiting our website. I truly hope you find what you are looking for at StageWorks. For more information on our classes, free trials and anything else, please do get in touch - we would love to hear from you.
