Adult Dance Classes

Our adult dance and fitness classes are very popular and have been running for over 20 years in Henley.

TAP - Tap dancing is a great fun way to keep fit.  There are day and evening classes for varying levels of experience with Ann Burley and Sam Riley. Work towards new routines and learn lots of new steps and combinations.

BALLET - Ballet is a great way to tone up, sculpt muscles and strengthen the body.  Ann Burley and Cara Wrightson teach these classes, (day and evening) - a mixture of exercises at the barre and short dance sequences - they both really engage their pupils with their beautiful flare for ballet, each with their own unique style.

NEW THIS SPRING - BEGINNERS - Why not try our Beginners Taster courses in Tap and Ballet with Ann Burley?

If you have never tried Tap or Ballet before it is definitely worth a go.  Or did you dance as a child and fancy taking it up again?  Join the taster course to learn or refresh the basic steps and get an idea of how much fun it can be and a great way to improve fitness.  6 weeks Ballet and 6 weeks Tap, try either or both then hopefully join one of the existing classes.

JAZZ  - Cara Wrightson brings her commercial jazz style into Henley and we know you are going to enjoy her fresh, motivating, funky, stylised classes.

ZUMBA - Come and join the BIGGEST dance/fitness craze ever with our Zumba classes c/o our sister company, NutritiousWorks - Dance your heart out enjoy the vibe and get ready for the biggest dance party class ever! Please like ZUMBA Henley on Facebook for up-dates.

FUN DANCE FUSION - Fun dance/fitness class for an older age range. Keep mobilised and strong with Kayleigh’s own mix of dance styles and exercises.  Get those bodies moving.

SHOWTIME - Fun classes for anyone who loves musicals.  Learn dance routines to well known show tunes, built up over a few weeks.  No dance experience necessary.  Come and join Ann Burley and unleash your inner chorus girl. Sequins and jazz hands optional!!

STRICTLY DANCE FIT -  A fun fitness class based on all your favourite “Strictly” dance styles with Ann Burley.  Keep mobilised and flexible and build strength.  Suitable for all, no dance experience necessary.

Suggested Clothing - for all classes wear any clothes you can move in and feel comfortable with - suggest leggings or trousers and t shirt/sweat-shirt. 

You will get warm… so layers are best.   You will need the correct footwear once you join, so ask us for advice on tap, ballet and jazz shoes.  

*TASTER COURSE depending on size we should be able to lend you tap shoes until you decide if you wish to continue.

At the end of the Summer Term most of the groups get together and showcase their work. It is a lovely environment, fun and very friendly, followed by an end of year celebration. 

Terms are usually 12 weeks with one week half term break in line with local school terms.  Pay full or half term fees in advance after a one week free trial.  Or if you join 2 or more classes then join the NutritiousWorks MEMBERSHIP scheme, £45 per month payable by standing order then all these classes plus much more are included in the UNLIMITED Package.
