Our 10 Year Anniversary!

As StageWorks nears its 10th year Anniversary (2010), plans will soon be underway for the best way to celebrate this milestone. It will be a fantastic celebration for the whole school to be involved in...and possibly the NEW adult masterclasses!

The celebrations will feature music from popular and well known musicals such as Cats, Joseph, High School Musical, Annie, Oliver, Mary Poppins, My Fair Lady, Jungle Book, Lion King, Les Miserables plus much more fun and exciting opportunities for all the students.

The celebrations start with The Wiz at the end of 2009 and continue into 2010. All students at all schools will be involved in this extravaganza and more information will follow.

StageWorks started 10 years ago at the Green Room in Henley. There were only a few students and 3 dedicated staff, (Emma-Jane Taylor, Chris Wilkins and Mark Williams) who used their passion and belief to develop the school.

The staff and students grew and grew over the next few years. Lloyd White and Naomi Vallance joined the strong enthusiastic team and the school started to become a very strong unit with an outstanding reputation in the Performing Arts. The staff had one thing in common – they all loved the performing arts and all believed that anyone can dance, sing or act so long as they have the drive, passion and desire to do so.

With regular festivals, annual shows and professional contracts, StageWorks has fast become a popular school to attend in the local areas....there are no exams and assessments are done every 12 weeks to ensure all the students and staff are working at the correct pace. No-one is forgotten at StageWorks and the students are given the correct training according to their talents.

The staff at StageWorks are constantly striving to challenge themselves and the students. There is an energy, passion, drive and happiness at all the schools that continues to keep everyone on their toes!

Everyone at StageWorks is extremely proud to be hitting the 10 year anniversary.
